We've h...He wasn't old; he was about eight. We've had dogs wander off to die before, and he wasn't displaying any of the symptoms. He hasn't come home, he isn't at the pound, and none of the neighbors on the mountain have seen him. It's horrible, but most likely he was eaten by something. My dad lives in the mountains, and has seen tracks of bears, coyotes, and lynx around his house. Usually the dog would just go to the bathroom and come back, but for some reason he kept going and ... yeah.
