We have a closed portion of my restaurant that we only pull open when we're busy and have enough servers to staff that portion. We get people all the time demanding they sit there. We tell them sure, they can sit there, but there isn't a single server covering that section so they won't get any service. Usually that's enough to say.JumpIthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08679491498657927023noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6876150051336556098.post-65437197840764411702010-01-06T14:39:31.218-08:002010-01-06T14:39:31.218-08:00WaiterE, that night was slow, but last night we we...WaiterE, that night was slow, but last night we were kept hopping. And the managers will just freaking bend over backwards to get people whatever they want--we've had to serve people on the patio in the dead of winter because they wouldn't just tell people it was closed!purplegirlhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02952678339075163056noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6876150051336556098.post-110729588234002612010-01-17T17:12:36.843-08:002010-01-17T17:12:36.843-08:00Outrageous not to mention insensitive.
