Where do you work?
Not telling. Corporate has spiders that search the web for mentions of them, and it would spoil everybody's fun if I were caught and fired. That hasn't changed with my change of job. If you really want to know, e-mail me at slightlycranky at hotmail.com.
How many restaurants have you worked for?
Too fucking many. Over the course of 11 years, five. Two of them I quit and went back to later, one seven years later.
Why didn't you just go to a different restaurant?
Because all restaurants have insane drama, asshole customers, and douchebag managers. I was familiar with this one and had seniority. Also, I'm in a college town where finding a restaurant job is surprisingly difficult. I actually work in the next town over, but my place is the only restaurant on that side of town and driving to the other side of it with the cost of gas wasn't worth it.
Maybe you got shitty tips because you're a shitty waitress, ever think of that?
Ever think of fucking yourself with something dry and sandpapery? I wasn't bad at my job, most of the time. I fucked up occasionally, like anybody, but most of the time it was just a case of people being bastard coated bastards with bastard filling.
Why don't you quit whining and get a REAL job?
Why don't you fuck right off?
Are your managers insane?
Most likely.
Why doesn't anyone report some of these things to corporate?
People have tried. The end result is usually them getting fired or forced out for dubious reasons, because this corporation doesn't believe in anonymity when it comes to reporting things to them. L's going to write about that at some point!
