Tales of a waitress who escaped the restaurant industry and then discovered a desk job kind of blows - so I put the apron back on. And I deliver pizza because getting paid to drive around listening to music is pretty awesome.
i've been reading your blog for a while now and LOVE IT!! if you changed the names your restaurant could definitely be mine. i think the 10% was catching on saturday as i left after dinner with an 8 for 9 count of 10% tips. (working a double and only pulling in $58, sad, so sad.) my coworkers weren't faring much better, so it must be an epidemic!

I feel you. We need some sort of servers' support group or something. Like AA, but SA.
Although judging by the behavior of most of my coworkers, SA could be a segue into AA!

It definitely was an epidemic--RA had that sort of night, and so did a friend of mine in another state. Crazy.
