It was just so unexpected for these two high-maintenance, gossipy ladies to give me a twenty dollar bill as a tip! They'd been polite enough, but were totally absorbed in their conversation and had camped out for a while (though I had empty tables so that was fine). I was expecting ten or fifteen percent, but when I broke their hundred dollar bill one of them handed me a twenty. Their bill was about $30, I think.
Totally made my day, of course! So I asked if I could hug her, and I did. Guess that's one of the perks of being a short, chubby young(ish) girl--people don't think it's creepy if I do that!

Haha, good for you!
That's awesome girl!! Over 50% tip! It's a wonderful thing when people tend to surprise you way out of the ordinary. Totally hug worthy.
I don't think I've ever asked to hug a customer. However, I've had MANY of them hug me. It's nice, albeit a little weird.
Wow, that is a great tip!
I've never asked a customer for a hug before either, I get hugged a lot though. :)
Aweee! Sweet! I'm glad you had a nice night!
I miss those big tips!
Sweeeeeeet! And I think it is more your personality than outward appearance that makes you huggable :) What a great tip.
It was definitely a nice change! I don't hug strangers, generally, but I was just so touched.
Ok, I couldn't wait.
Those women HAD to have been service workers at some point. I'm thrilled that they were generous to you!
Hey, my friend rdl is here. She and I never worked together but we tell each other waitress and bartender War stories, Still!!
Now, I have to STEP AWAY from this computer and get a life (stop avoiding the paints) !
Yeah, I'm sure they used to slave for tips too. :) You get to your paint? :)
