Oh, to get out of the serving game.

(Sponsored.)

My mom's always telling me I should become a CNA. Every time I complain about my job, she suggests it. And I may hate serving, but I know that medical professions are not right for me either! I just don't have it in me. Plus the schooling takes forever, and I've spent enough time in school -- ten years! And I can't even get financial aid anymore, but that's a whole separate story.

It's too bad that I'm not cut out for it, though, because I know there's a high demand for all medical professions, and there are no shortages of programs for them! And there are intense, quicker courses sometimes -- people wanting to be Chicago CCNA or San Diego CCNA have condensed course options, for example. I also am not really good with computers, unfortunately. I mean, I can obviously find my way around a blog; I can do some basic photo editing; but when it comes to the stuff that people pay for, I'm screwed. Which is why I could never enroll in a Virginia Cisco Course. I also couldn't administrate a server if my life depended on it, so the Virginia MCITP course is out too.

Then again, the fact that I'm not in Virginia would probably have something to do with that too.

Being a CNA doesn't require that much education. It's only 12 weeks maybe?? My sister is a CNA and she really likes it. She works in a nursing home though.

so....what DID you do with your 10 years in school that won't let you do anything but wait tables? think about what you can do with what you've got. you don't want to end up like "Waiter Extraordinaire" who's still waiting tables at 50 and can't even spell "prostrate cancer" (sic)

It's not that I can't do anything. I chose to serve while I was trying to finish school.

Also, I welcome comment, but please don't slam other bloggers here. Thanks!

OK my bad, when you said you already spent 10 years in school I thought you were done with school. As for W.E....well, I think his posts make my point for me. Peace
